THINGS TO DO
Located on the east edge of town, Overbrook lake is open for fishing and boating activities from 5am-11pm daily (electric motors & oars allowed). The lake features an ADA-accessible fishing pier along with paved walking paths. An active Kansas State fishing license is required for ages 16+. No swimming is allowed. Learn more.
Overbrook Lake
The Landon Trail, built on nearly 40 miles of the former Missouri-Pacific Railroad, offers an easy and scenic route through Osage County. Walkers, joggers, equestrians, and bicyclists can access the trail on the south side of town on Main St., just across from the grain elevators. Learn more.
Landon Nature Trail
A recreational gem located near the scenic Overbrook Lake. The park features ballfields, soccer fields, pickleball courts, a basketball court, and a playground.
Jones Park
The heart of downtown, the library offers a wealth of resources and engaging programs for all ages. Overbrook Public Library
Originally opened in the 1960s, and remodeled in 1998, the pool is open Memorial Day to Labor Day and includes a zero-depth entry, diving board, and swim lanes. Classes include swimming lessons and aqua aerobics. The pool features a snack shack and locker rooms with showers for both male & female. Learn more.

SCHOOLS
Overbrook, Kansas was founded in 1886 by W. T. Coffman and J. B. Fairchild, who each donated 30 acres for the city. Overbrook's history is tied to the railroad, which brought growth and development to the area. The town's name comes from the hometown of a railroad construction engineer, Overbrook, Pennsylvania. The historic Santa Fe Trail ran through Overbrook on its path to New Mexico, via northern Osage County. The Overbrook Historical Society was established in 2018 to preserve the town's history for future generations.
